Movement Support That Meets You Where You Are

At New Roots, we believe movement can be an important part of physical and emotional well-being. Our personal training services offer individualized guidance to help people build strength, improve mobility, and develop a more comfortable, confident relationship with movement.

Whether you’re new to exercise, returning after time away, or looking for help developing a routine, you don’t need to know where to begin. Our Certified Personal Trainer, Courtney, will help you find a starting point that feels right for you, with guidance and encouragement along the way.

Our Approach

Consistent with New Roots’ philosophy, our approach to personal training is weight-inclusive and non-diet. There are no weigh-ins or body measurements, and weight loss is not the focus.

Instead, we focus on what matters to you—whether that’s building strength, improving mobility, having more energy, learning to use equipment, or simply feeling more comfortable moving your body.

You don’t need any previous experience or a particular level of fitness. Courtney will work with you at your own pace, helping you develop a routine that fits your abilities, goals, and everyday life.

Personal Training Package

Session 1: Getting to Know You

Courtney will begin by talking with you about your goals, needs, movement history, and any concerns you may have. She’ll then guide you through an initial fitness and movement assessment to help identify a comfortable and appropriate starting point.

This first session is an opportunity to explore what works for you, with no expectation that you already know how to exercise or use fitness equipment.

Session 2: Developing Your Plan

Together, you’ll work through a personalized exercise program. Courtney will demonstrate movements, help you practice techniques, and make adjustments as needed so you feel comfortable continuing on your own.

You’ll leave with a plan tailored to your goals, experience, and the equipment available to you.

Six Weeks of Support

Support doesn’t end after your two sessions. Optional 15-minute virtual check-ins are available as needed, up to once a week during the first six weeks. These provide an opportunity to ask questions, work through challenges, adjust exercises, or receive encouragement as you begin using your plan.

Program Cost

The six-week personal training package is $250 and includes two 60-minute in-person sessions, a personalized exercise plan, and optional 15-minute virtual check-ins as needed, up to once a week.  For those who would like additional in-person support, 30-minute training sessions are available during the six-week period for $40 per session
